tones | interactive sculpture
The installation is a replication of the idea of the mind in a set of faculties including cognitive aspects such as consciousness, imagination, perception, thinking, intelligence, judgement, language and memory, as well as non-cognitive aspects such as emotion and instinct, and represents the same into an interactive origami structure inspired by the techniques of Jo Nakashima and colour theory.
When all the layers sit behind one another, the structure forms a dark shade. But once it is expanded, the colours do the magic. Together with the play of all layers, rotating them to create a colourful illusion and vision at the same time. As you move the sculpture, a rain of thought generative of the users interaction and formation of patterns, falls on it.
